About

Dr. Gabriel Tornusciolo has more than 30 years of experience as a psychologist, including leadership roles ranging from middle management to senior executive positions. His experience with neurodivergency began in the late 1990s when he led and developed programs for underserved teenagers and young adults. As a director at a university in the 2010s, he developed a passion for supporting neurodivergent professionals and leaders navigate workplace challenges. Recently, he transitioned away from a senior executive position to focus fully on helping neurodivergent leaders excel in the workplace as well as educate organizations on how to best support neurodivergent professionals.

Dr. Tornusciolo views neurodivergence as a natural variation in how individuals perceive the world, process information, and communicate with others.

These differences have led to significant contributions and innovations that have positively impacted communities globally.  Simultaneously, neurodivergent individuals have encountered challenges in predominantly neurotypical work environments, where unwritten social norms and a high value on conformity can lead to confusion, exclusion, and stress.

The ideal is to foster workplaces that embrace each person's unique attributes, where true collaboration thrives and leads to progress rather than stagnation. Achieving this requires a mutual understanding on both sides of the equation and an increased representation of neurodivergent professionals in leadership positions. ASD Executive Consulting was established to help support these changes in the workplace.

“It is not enough to do your best; you must know what to do, and then do your best.”
